sory to keep you waitng, your appearnce in feb board made me sit n read your post n my prev reply to you.
myself n my family all r in mad situation since monday,,all of them having strep throat infection all together,,including samarth(1.5month),,so you know how mad it goes when both kids cry together in middle of night or whenever pain strikes,, in order to breathe or due to severe pain in throat...
today we are in much bettr postion aftr many days,,..so could manage to reply a couple post in feb board n also read your post thr....
i hope this also explains my silence past couple of days and my inability to cope up with all posts addressd to me.
now this is what i have in my mind...

1. about chunks of food coming out as it is even after 12hours :
it seems that your child is not ready for chunkier foods.if he is eating well with paste consistency, its fine. dont force him. he has his entire life to eat solids. dont rush..let the acceptance come from his side..once a while try but dont force.
see if paste consistency foods is acceptable to him. when you say chunk of food, what does it mean...can i understand chunk as a overcooked piece of vegetable or a overripen fruit or overcooked fruit(like apple, pear),,,,what does it imply.
do answer...so that i know which approach to follow..chunk in itself has many meanings, when it comes to solids.do detail me the foods tht you described as solid n i can think of something.
since he is 21months old, i can only think that he is late but not a prob,,give him enough time to accept n welcome solids.
the other thing is, if it was indigestion, thn not only chunky food but the paste consistency will also come out !
if he is allergy to some foods that he often shows in his bowels,,it means while puting in mouth itself, he feels the itching or some awful feel that makes him vomit and with your force he might have eatn it but his body will not accept it..check on the foods that come out as it is...listme..is it all of the foods or only some foods...
also its perfectly okay for babies to have loss of apetite during premolars n molars..if so, you might want to look inside his mouth(play the song of open your mouth hahaha,,jony jony yes papa) and see there...ne thing going on therre, could help you figure out the problem.talking about teething pains and crankiness, premolars, canines, molars, first molars all are the times,,when child is most difficult to handle and yes, almost all kids have made thr moms cry n feel helpless..includes me !! if so, this will go on until the molars or premolars will come out..giving him teething tablets(if in US,) or orajel or ask your dr for some teething soothing gels or teethers tablets etc ,,it might give him temperrory relief,,offer them before food and see if that temp relief makes him eat something atleast,,you know n thn you can eliminate this possbty if this is not the case..let me know the updates.

2. allergies :
without testing for allergies, hunting around the bush..
why do that..first thing first, get yourself a good allergist and get the test done for milk proteins, cultures and other foods that he is sensitive to or the ones that he is throwing up.also, after hearing your case, allergist might suggest some other test,,go for it.atleast it will clear the things n if nething else is bothering him, that will also come out.
atleast this issue will be closed or further can be worked out.

3. sometimes things like biscuits(when chewed gets abit lumpy n dry inside the mouth nd sticks to the throat or throat opening causing a vomittng feeling),fruits with skin sticks to palette n causes a nausea or puking feeing,,damped piece of roti(not soaked prooperly or half dry roti, bread) etc,or cooked pieces of vegies like cauliflower, cabbage, potato, sweet potato,or sometimes fruits like banana, etc might cause a puking feeling...
its normal for this age baby to have such a feeling...if your child was of 4-5years of age,,i would have made him see therapist but he is 21months, which is age where kids learn to chew hard or table or finger foods and still are co-ordnatn thr muscles n the taste as well as movement of foods inside the mouth with thr tougue, or the texture after chewing.
4. as far as milk is concerned n its by prodcuts are concerned,,many at imes it has happend that when kid is suffrng from cold or mild colds,,when the milk is bein taken by mouth, milk has tendency to leave a trace of cream or a layer and it makes child feel like vomitng,,when it happens multiple times, the child happens to rem it and it might happen that he will vomit it eventhough he is not allergic to it !
this issue will be resolved, again, when the allergy test will be done ! go for it.

5.try 100 soy diet and check..if that makes him comfortable.soy flour, soy milk, tofu, soy biscuits, soy chunks, tempeh and other forms of soy..and see his freq of vomitng,,try offerng him overcooked/boiled pieces of tofu with some gravy and see if he vomits that ! or it comes out in his bowels as it iz..if so, your child is facing some probs related to stomach or his body is unable to breakdown the total food that is being swallowed..body has a tendency to breakdown the unchewed food if the food happens to pass thru digestion process,,...
so,,you will come to some conclusion with this trial.

6. how many times he chews the food. when offering chewy foods,,teach him 20times rules..ask him to chew the food 20times..and see if it helps him get the idea of chewing the food and njoying it. chew before him,,repeat the word chew and give him a a calm eye contact..dont panic, dont lose your patience..your child will learn only when he sees you calm and not when he sees you getng tensed or angry...
see if that helps...

7.if he was havng sore throat, he will not feel comfortable eating hot things or ne spices,,gettng tired n down is a sign that your child needs to be checked by dr. it means he is not getting ne nutrients and he seems to be vomintg out everything whtout gettng nething out of it,,all together makes him lose his apetite n become weak or fatigue.
with the sentence that you mentioned that \" he vomits more of food thn milk\" , i can only think that he is havng probs with digestion of solids it seems. and it also dpends on what you are offering ? at 21months, the menu that you told me, i find it quite less thn what he is expected to eat. even the no of meals are less...
in breakfast try offerng him some fresh home made paratha, roti or raagi with some warm milk or soymilk or some soy butter if he likes,,fruit preserves or low sugar/no sugar jams are also great sides..offer with nething n kids love them..
after breakfast, goes brunch of fruit etc,,that he is already having,,thn some lunch, thn a good 4oz of juice with some crackers in the early evning and thn dinner..he is having dinner too early at 630,and it seems to be like whatever you are offering as a dinner he is having it as a snack !
did you try offerng him something more during your meal times etc...and see if it interst him in eating !
and last but not the least, ne child who is not getting enough nutrients, enough food or enough liquids, tends to get sick earlier thn other kids.during my delivery to first month, i had my relative to take care of nirja/my toddler,,i can see tht how she took care of her,in just 1 month, i have seen that differnce, not to mention, she never ever had cold attacks or ne infections,,this is first time she got it and we all got it ..it was that severe !! but you see things do happen, no matter how good or bad you are,,you cant stop them..feels bad as a mother sometimes that inspite being so much careful where did i do the mistake,,how far i will blame someone..but no one is perfect,,after all thats y we are humans !
so dont worry, and get the allergy test done.
expect the results positive if you have allergy n asthma in yours or your husbands family history..and dont feel sad about it.you are not alone..
after all that tough things you are going thru, i am sure there are some good things on your way, even if the things are cleared with the test,,its a good sign, you know whats going on..and even if i fail in solving your issue, i am sure there is someone out there who has a perfect answer for you..all i will do is try my best..
a sad mom means a sad child so keep a good smile on your face..i know its frustrating n very depressing but thre are some things in life that we have to deal with,,like it or not..if you accept them, they will be easier to handle..
believe me, i have been thru it.
good luck and keep me updated.
