my daughter is 2 months old n is on breast milk only. till recently she used to pass lots of motions in small quantities many number of times a day. then she got to 1 time motion fr a week. n then she stopped passing motions fr 5 days. then she passed only once on the 6th day n nw she has not passed fr another 5 days. is this normal? what should i do to make her pass motions regularly that is once a day? please reply ..its very urgent.

i see my case has many photocopies..just kidding. the other day my grandmother suggested this remedy fr my baby n it worked. thot of sharing with u all.
i gave 1 spoon castor oil nicely mixed with my milk about 3 spoons n gave to my baby.
also i tried inserting beetel leaf stalk (not thick) about 1/2 cm (keep a bit of the stalk out)in the rectum of my baby n left her to normal playing n carrying. initially i had a doubt that the stalk might prick my baby inside n if she doesnt pass motion then it might stay inside itself etc etc.but guess what i have tried this about 5-6 times n each time i do that n let her to play she passes motion within half hour n the stalk also comes out n baby passes full motion.
guys u can also try it..no dangers.

check it out,,same case as yours,,yes its chetana case..and see if ne of that, helps you...
yes, its normal for many bf babies to go without bowels for upto 4-5days,,and whenver he seems to be uncomfortable all you can do is mentioned in the above posts...
see if rocking, takng for drive, puttng them to vibration baby chair or infant cradlee helps them,sometimes vibration causes ease in bowels in some babies for which none of medications works,,see if it helps...
other than that,,all you can do massage, and such,,for 2months its not advsable much to ply on home remedies,,it migght not prove good healthwise even though temp relief is offrd in home remedies,,and yes, take your child to dr,,see if ne medication helps him deal with infant colic or infant cnstipatn,,,all these lasts until 3-4months...and most kids pass it thru that...

i have a 2 month old son. I have the same problem. From very regular once a day poop since the start of second month to now once every 6 day poop.

The doctor says that its normal in breastfeed babies. hence if its not causing any discomfort in ur daughter u shuldn;t worry. If its making her uncomfortable then its a problem. My case from the second day onwards my son gets abnormally gassy...he keeps on getting up in his sleep also due to gas.

if u have a similar problem and are able to find any solution do lemme know.
