Hetal replied. if your baby is eating honey along with bread, toast, or say fruits and parathas,,yes its healthy,,provided and provided that honey is 100% natural and does not contain ne artificial sugars or let me say when you taste it,,it wont be 100% sugary sweet taste,,,pure honey is has abit woody but of pleasing sweet taste,,and is not 100% sweet taste..
look for buckwheat or round comb honey,,which are excellent for health..often you get these in health stores,,and are 100% natural plus good for health,,if you are in India,,look for pure honey in ayurvedic store or most of gandhi/khaadi stores they often have pure brand..the older it gets,,its considerd good,,refrigratn is not required,,never refrigrate it,,also, if after storage, you see 2layers gettn sep in honey, thn throw it away ! its not pure honey.
Honey darkens with age and becomes a bit stronger in flavor. But, It will not spoil or get sep in layers,,at the most it will crystallze.store it airtight,,wipe off the opening of the bottle with damp towel/cloth/paper towel,,to keep it clean & avoid mess and always keep it air tight.
so in all, if stored properly,,and consumed in proper or natural form,is very healthy and provides powerful antioxidants....
but if you give it with lemon water or plain water,,it will act as blood antioxidant which will reduce the body fat and prevent narrowing of arteries and will also reduce excess body fat,,,which kids dont need to do,,as of now..
and first of all,its rare to find that ne fat accumulation around the arteries of kids this young,,unless otherrwise the child is sufferng from some genetic disorder related to obesity or let me say ne other wght related issues.
considerng your child age, reduce his honey intake to 2 tablespoon...
nething in moderation is always good for health,,nething in excess even though dear to us,,is never good !
so keep it that way.
good luck
