I was diagnosed with PCOS lately.I am on my first cycle of CLOMID 50 MG.
Had good dominant follicle and ovulated also.
But I observed very minute(almost absent) cloudy cervical mucus on my ovulation day and 2 days prior to that.
Just tensed whther the sperms will be b able to survive inside me or not.


I asked my RE about artificial lubrication..she said no need to worry.But I m not satisfied as i keep reading on all websites tha it is plays an important role in fertilization.

Pls let me know what u all think archie replied. one of the downside of clomid is dry vagina. I would not worry too much on scanty cm or dry vagina.
True the sperms may find difficult to reach to fallopian tube but if all is well with your spouse then if not 100,000 a few 10,000 sperms will still be able to enter into fallopian tube. Once they are in f. tube they don't need cm. CM may help to get sperms into f. tube but not the only way of sperms entry to f. tube. don't get too concerned.

Remember clomid is not a miraculous drug and be prepared for both failure to get pregnant or get pregnant. I am not trying to upset you but to show you right vision of clomid or ttc process.

if you have ovulated, relax for next 15 days to see what's going to offer, don't think about pregnancy or don't get tensed, just relax, don't lift or bent suddenly.

As Kshama said vaginal dryness is side effect of clomid and consume lot of fruits and juices.
If its really dry ,then you may try PreSeed,a sperm friendly lubricant OR take one or two raw garlic cloves with water.

Lucky kshama replied. do not apply any artificial lubrication , they are not good for sperms. Yes the side effect of clomid is that u get very dry, drink lots of water for that. Ofcourse sprm will survive in u, there will be favourable environment within u, not to worry about this.

But try to have intercourse the day before u ovulate and the day u ovulate and the day after.
