Behavioural Problems:Self esteem.

Day in and day out we parents are being bombarded with articles on children's confidence, self esteem etc etc..Most of them tell us parents to refrain from scolding, using harsh words, spanking and so on..I want to ask other parents how far do they go in following these theories?I have 2 well-behaved children yet I end up blaming myself for all their short-comings like night-wetness,fear of dark, shyness etc.I try to be firm without scolding but sometimes end up snapping at them on a rough day and I end up feeling guilty thru the next day though I am careful enough to hide it.Sometimes when my friends boast about their children's abilities,I end up worrying if I am not doing enough for them.Do other parents also feel this way or am I out of the blue?

children like adults are individuals never ever compare them with anybody.it easier to b ur natural self than being a bookish mother.listen to ur heart and instincts before reacting to any situation.sometimes it is okay to b angry but beating is no solution to any problem.
