Hi,
Thanx Hetal for ur reply.
I have one more Query.I would like 2 know what could b the diet plan for my 16 month child.I give him:
7 am -parle biscuits/bread butter/gerber flakes
9 am -milk 150 ml
11 am -any one fruit.
1 pm -khichdi/roti-veg and yougurt
2pm -again fruit
4pm -milk 150ml
6pm -slice of cheese/fistful of cheerios/poha/upma
8pm -dinner (same as lunch)
10 pm -milk 150 ml

I would like 2 know if this is enough,or if i am overfeeding him or giving him less.
What more things could i add in his diet to make it healthy.
he is getting his lower back tooth,so i think his dietis reduced to half of what i have mentioned above.

some additions !
your schedule of solids looks good to me,,just some additions.make sure he is able to eat around 1/4th of one adult serving per meal..now that your baby is 16months,,he should be easily able to eat that much...great schedule,,keep it up !!

7 am -parle biscuits/bread butter/gerber flakes : no comments.

9 am -milk 150 ml : no comments

11 am -any one fruit : no comments :

1 pm -khichdi/roti-veg and yougurt..addins multigrains, whole grains, diff varieties of pastas,,mac n cheese,,add in tofus, and other sources of proteins...check my post to pria and mom.add in more lentils, rice and other varieties,,,

2pm -again fruit ///i would like you to replace this with some juice and crackers/toddler snacks/multigrain toasts/barley and multigrain biscuits... 100% juice can be given, or give fruit in some other form like puree or milkshakes are great ! also you can replace this with serving of curd or some finger foods..let this be your baby learning time to learn how to feed himself...

4pm -milk 150ml : no comments.

6pm -slice of cheese/fistful of cheerios/poha/upma : no comments...

8pm -dinner (same as lunch),,,avoid giving one type of food in the whole day,,if you are giving roti vegie in the mornin, offer pastas or rice+lentils in the evenings,,,avoid giving curds in evenings,,offer desserts like kheer, sweet potato halwa(just put a dab of ghee, add in mashed boiled sweet potato and add in cardamom,,nothin else is required),,in short introduce your 16month old to desserts..also dont make desserts part of every dinners..once a while,or alternate days...

10 pm -milk 150 ml -- no comments...

expect loss of apetite and lack of interest in foods during teething esp molars and premolars...., maturing stagess,,and want to graduate to new foods and textures,,,and seasonal allergies and flu,and ne sign of illness about to strike...
