if your milk is good enough, and your baby is getting enough as his body needs, he is not ready for solids ! its that simple. let your dr decide about it. the recommended age for starting solids without ne allergies or problems is 6months and onwards..however, it solely dpends on dr and as to your baby growth that he check..ask your dr at your well child visit whether your baby neeeds an extra food other than bm.
he will be able to give you perfect answer because he knows your baby from day 1 and he has been seeing his growth thru out...
so let him be the best judge.
about starting solids,i highly recommend you to visit gerber dot com for great ideas on what to start first.
they have a full chart of what to start to fist until end !! its an excellent source.
avoid for ne allergies or rashes..at your dr visit whenver he recommends you to start solids, never hesitate in asking HOW..some good tips are given there too..also never hesitate to ask your dr about ne feeding schedule or plan that he provides in his services..its the best trusted way to know about what your baby needs first ! most drs do give that, upon request only..
about storing breastmilk, go to ne breastpump site and they often have good reliable info about storage nd care instructions.even in the manual of the breast pump,,these informations are given nicely.
hope this helps.
