Feeding:Raw veggies juice for 15 month old

Hi ,

can anyone tell me if it's OK to give raw vegatables juice for a 15 month old baby ? I used to make juice of carrot, apples, tomato and a lil ginger for myself to relieve constipation and it was really effective . I was wondering if we can do the same for babies too - minus the ginger probably .

Any suggestions ? I think my baby needs more fibre in his food and he's not yet accepting taking lumpy food. Or maybe way too much grains and not enough fruits/veg . But he's not having anything other than bananas .

try giving pressure cooked or fully cooked vegies. the longer you give, better it is for baby to digest it. often after 18months onwards, drs recommends kids to eat raw vegies or fruits.
ginger at 15months is ok, just watch for ne rashes or ne prickly heat..giner is hot,,so go lil and go slow.., add in spinach puree or spnach to your juice for HIGH fiber content.

your soup is a very healthy-add in beets as well to it to increase its goodness.sprinkle a bit ginger without guilt..let your baby enjoy the spices now,,he is 15months,,above 1 year,,thats wat babies needs to learn,,make sure its not hot for him to handle..add in cumin seeds and some tadka of curry leaves for excellent aroma and good digestive aid !
if your baby is not taking ne other fruits than banana, add in with banana other fruits with puree or small chops and offer him.. as far as your baby is getting enough from all he is eating, it hardly matter the texture of food..however keep trying about increasing the texture level to lumps and then solids..
