Hetal,sorry i could not login about my visit to my new dr on last monday.my dh was out of town, so managing everything was tough.

dr checked his nose and it was all swollen and red from inside.and she checked her ears, right one was mildly infected. dr said ear infection was the recent one and the swollen passages was because of his cold and flu infection that lasted long for months. she said after recovery from flu, it will take 1 week for all the swelling or redness to go off.
he is on the same medication you mentioned amoxiilin and one more medicine called triminac cold & allergy.dr said give triminac only as needed but with the minimum gap of every 6 hours.
my new dr also told me that if with this medicine he does not recover in 3-4 days, walk in back and she will do the test for allergies.
But,gods grace it looks it will not be needed. today its friday and he is sleeping well, undisturbed and does not have any stuffy nose through out the day.also he is fresh when he wakes up.

I dont believe hetal, its been months i have seen him sleeping without a single move.i could not imagine myself sleeping through out the night and waking up straight in morning.i am glad that i posted my query here. you are such a great help.God bless you and your family.

i will update you again after his complete recovery.just a little query,will you please throw some lights as to why my dr gave him triminac cold and allergy. does it mean that he has allergy.i saw the triminac cold & flu.

the reason y your dr told to give cold and allergy is he needs a lift from allergy medicine right now.

you too observed that your baby was sensitive to allergies that are pretty much around the house and related to carpets,airconditions, lints and ne chemicals used in home..thats y when you cleaned everything that i mentioned to you in your first post, your baby was in better condition than he was.,,also note that this does not mean this will be lifetime,as right now your baby nasal passages arent mature enough so he gets stuffed up and cries.
and air borne allergies at home and surrounding areas is pretty normal for adults too. and is not taken seriously as normal for someone nose to react in a way it was supposed to react...

no nose esp the mature one,,will accept intruders from its passage may it be bad smells,dirt or lints.so no worries...
so its clear that right now his body is fighting with ear infection, internal viral cold infection..so with the medicine that your dr gave is excellent for infections.but not for allergy related infections or colds.

other than that, to recover fully, your baby needs for a while a lift from allergy medicine.now please note that the medicine triaminic(check the spelling you mentioned and correct me),,is over the counter medicine in most states of US, and is not a prescribed medicine..

so in that case, i dont see ne worries, but i would recommend you to keep this medicine handy so that whenever you go to dusty places or places that not well maintained, there is 50% chances that your baby might feel stuffed up and gets cold...and with this medicine, if he has ne allergies,it will come out with cough in form of mucus or by bowels..it dpends.

also note that if this cold and stuffiness is only because of viral infection and his ear infection then you might never need this medicine in future even in open playgrounds with lots of mud around,,
like i said befre this will not bother him once his nasal passages functions like toddlers which is around 9months and onwards....

give triaminic right now as recommended by your dr and not by the dosage on the pack,and ask your dr how long should you continue giving it.even though your dr said only as needed, ask specifically once you see some recovery, give your dr a call, that should i continue this medicine..your dr will ask you recovery level and then he will specifically tell you, now no need to give,if you want to give, you can for 2more days,,it means now your baby doesnt require,but if you are a parent who wants to make sure that by using another 2 days, your baby will healthierr, nothing wrong,,do that...
so ask your dr,about it.
so dont worry, he will fine..take care,
