Hetal, thank you very much. i am doing everything you listed. its been 3 days and i am seeing change in my baby stuffy nose. he was feeling much better without any allergy medicine also.now its the night time or after bath times he feels a bit stuffy.
i never had peace because of my baby stuffy nose. i havent heard him crying or getting irritated past 2 days(touch wood).I dont know how to thank you. but i hope to see you someday personally.

referring to your reply, i wanted to tell you that during my pregnancy, everyone in my house was affected by severe viral infection, including me. it was during my 9th month and in that i delivered 20 days before my due date. i was on antibiotics during whole that period. and my all infection was gone after 1 month of delivery.
could that be the reason ?

i have taken an appointment with other dr on monday and i hope that he does not declare my baby as allergy baby. i am very much afraid of it hetal.

Thanks alot for your support. please be always present. But first take care of yourself then only reply me. i understand its hard for you to attend all post & that second pregnancy might be tiring.reply when you are comfortable, i will always wait for your replies.

Regards
Saavya.

i am glad that you are at rest.
during your delivery, since everyone was infected,,there is a possibility that your baby might have caught it. when he caught this infection,,is a matter to question....if he got the effect of it, in the womb itself, or during birth, at his birth your dr would have told you when they test baby health. which i havent heard from you as of now.
so this is eliminated. now after bringin home, if he is caught with infection from you or your family members, infants are generally called for monthly checkups in first 2-3months of their life, which in your case, if so, your baby must have been dgonised with viral infection in his blood test, if at all was done at his 1month appoitment.some drs do it,some dont.it depends on hospital policies & insurance you are holding....
but that too i havent heard from you !

above all that, there is a possibility that he might have caught mild internal viral infection which is still bothering him. and it needs a medical treatment or a mild dosage of flu shot, which is given only when baby gets seriously ill,,because of shortage of flu shots & considering the age of baby.
so i can see only this reason as of now that is in my reach of knowledge.

other than that, i dont see anyother things.if internal mild viral infection is a cause in your baby case, your new dr might give you a simple dosage of Amoxicillin which is given in most flu with stuffy nose, headaches, sore throat cases..and this was not given to your baby before, as your baby didnt show any severe signs of any of these, or viral infection..also stuffy nose is not the only cause of it, most cases baby has to have a fever for it.
in your baby case, your baby might be having internal fever prevailing which can be detected by rectal thermometer only,,that too only when its absolutely needed and is done by drs if your baby was in emergency or severe prob.
also, if your new dr will suspect that he is sensitive to allergy, he might ask you to get some lab test done from which exact cause of allergy will be understood and exact medicine will be given for it.

please note that for any medication, the medicine generally works to some % by the end of 4th day. its not necessary to wait longer..so this time also, dont take it long to strech upto 7 days.by 4th day, you should be able to see some 2% improvement.if not, talk to your dr about it ! or best way to deal is, ask your dr at the time when he prescribed medicne that how long do i expect results.he will tell you upfront the number of days.

just keep the area clean around your baby and watever i listed before, and i hope he will be better.if he does without any medication, he was allergic to house born or dust/mites allergies in or around house, which most of times, we all get allergic to. the only diff between us and babies are we know how to clear our nose,we sneeze and our body are mature with immune to fight with it,, babiees dont have all that !!!

do let me know what your new dr says on monday.and dont worry, trust your baby survival instincts.
and what are you afraid of - come on, your baby is such a healthy child, achieved his milestones on time even though he was suffering so badly,,, dont you want to trust his survival instincts..and above all, your baby took sippy cup at 8months,,my baby didnt do that :)) LOL..:D.if i were you, i will feel lucky that inspite of such bad condition with nose, my baby is on time.

trust your baby and your motherly instincts,,and being a mother, never fear about anything.instead keep the track of things that fear you..what are drs for ?

why get afraid..njoy time with him..
take care & you have a wonderful weekend.i dont see anything serious,,so i am strongly telling you to remain carefree.
good luck

thanks alot Hetal. you made me feel comfortable.now i am relaxed that i dont have to worry.
i was eagerly waiting for your reply even though i understand about constraints on your side.

i will definately let you know on monday about my visit with dr.
you are so right, Hetal. i was needlessly getting afraid without consulting my new dr.

now that things are much much better & in my favour i have a hope that they will go smooth on monday also.
you know today also, he didnt have any stuffiness in his nose. but it happened in evening couple times.he was manageable.i sprayed saline drops and he sneezed and all mucus came out.and he was fine.also after bath, couple minutes his nose was blocked but he was fine after few minutes and was playing.

thanks a ton, you are a great help.
my love to nirja.
