hi, since your dr has recommended it, as everyone said, start with rice cereal.however, i would recommend to let your baby pass the 15 days and get mature to 4months complete..just to be on safer side..
dont start wheat cereal until your baby is a min of 8 months complete..wheat are the heaviest, and start them the last...
start with rice cereal, one fruit and one vegie,,go to gerber dot com for great ideas on starting cereals.
rice, oatmeal and then barley cereal, and continue adding a vegie and a fruit in his diet per week ! also for all cereal or any food or vegie/fruit you start, wait for a week to see whther or not your baby is comfortbale to it ! if not(and shows any rashes, gas probs, eczema or any discomfort in his schedules),,discontinue and try after some time again .,,until your dr allows.
ask your dr about the feeding plans,,they have it and they give it when asked !
so good luck and take care.

hi mm1122
to start off, you can either start with banana powder or raagi powder if available. You can start Nestle/Cerelac/Gerber/Hienz stage one foods like wheat or rice cereals. You can mix it with formula milk or expressed breast milk. All the best.

It is the least allergy causing. To start, mix one spoon cereal in three spoons of liquid. The liquid may be formula milk or expressed breast milk. Preferably whatever liquid the baby is already used to. Check with the doctor if you can mix with water.

You can increase the thickness once baby gets used to the new solid.
