What is something your child has picked up simply from unconscious repetition?

Whenever my children balk at doing something they have to do (go to pre-school, pick up their toys, brush their teeth), I tell them: ?I know you don?t want to, but sometimes you just have to do things you don?t want to do.? A few months ago, I was standing in the kitchen after dinner. It was a disaster area. I was tired. I didn?t even know where to start. I sighed. ?I really don?t feel like doing the dishes tonight,? I said to my husband. Then a bright little voice perked up from the lounge room, ?I know you don?t want to, mummy, but sometimes, you just have to do things you don?t want to do.? Whenever my children are feeling unwell, I tell them that they should lie down on the couch. I tuck them up with a homemade blanket, and get them a drink of water. A few weeks ago, after church, I wasn?t feeling well. The kids were at home with me, but my husband had to go back for a meeting. I flopped on the couch as soon as the door was closed. My daughter gave me a kiss on my forehead, and stroked my hair away from my face. ?Mummy, do you want me to get you a blanket?? I said yes, and minutes later, she had me tucked up nice and warm. I closed my eyes, and heard whispering, and a bit of banging in the kitchen. Then I heard the tap go on. I was just about to reprimand the kids for playing with the tap, when my son came in holding a glass of water. ?Here you go, mummy, you should drink some water. It will make you feel better.?

kids fitness through play and games
since i have been training young kids for motor skills and fun fitness for a while i see that kids develop most of their sports movements then and as early as 4 years. parents need to be aware that forcing kids into sports at a very early age will not get them far, as they end up losing interest quickly. ... - Sunny Singh [View Message]
