Hi Parents/Doctors
I need your help. I came to Canad when my son was 1 year old and now My son just turned 4 in July 2018. When he turned 2.5 we started worrying for his speech as he was not saying any words or pointing at things. (We gave him too much mobile to listen to poems). He even when to daycare for almost a year from age 1.10 to age 3.1. When he turned 3 we took a decision that my wife and kid will stay in India for couple of months so that he can be around more people and starts speaking. Fortunately he started saying words at 3.5 years and now he is 4 and have many words and small sentences and copy if we tell him to say words though his speech rate is high which reduce the clarity. He goes to washroom by his own to do pee (For potty he needs lil bit of support) and follows many many instruction of his interest but if he does not want to do anything then he does not listen to us at all. Now I have brought him back to Canada as his school started in Sep' 18. However, he keeps repeating words even when we are not taking to him. like he got scared from garage door sound and we told him "darte nahi hai mama hain" so he repeats this if we take him to new places or something new.

Please help me understand if this okay. What all can we do to make him follow us like other 4 years.

Kids of 4 years here do a full conversation and follow instructions however my son is very stubborn and do what he likes. He does not listen to No words and screams if we stop him. In last 6-8 months he has learnt a lot in terms of words, sentences, book pictures identification, saying 1-10 after us, playing with toys, replying to basic question like name , school name, mothers name etc. But I am very worried as compared to other 4 years he is far behind.

Please help us as I am having sleepless nights.

Thanks,

Sandeep

kids fitness through play and games
since i have been training young kids for motor skills and fun fitness for a while i see that kids develop most of their sports movements then and as early as 4 years. parents need to be aware that forcing kids into sports at a very early age will not get them far, as they end up losing interest quickly. ... - Sunny Singh [View Message]
