Hey I am confused by the message send by Krsna to Keerthi explaning how to stay regular while charting BBT. My question is the way BBT is taken. I thought that temprature should and always be taken rectally. But accordin to Krsna and the article we can take it orally also? Here i am confused....

What is your say? Please clear my confusion.

Bye. radha replied. I've heard its more accurate if u take it vaginally...esp when you are trying to time the ovulation.
I did it orally as well as vaginally...& vaginally seems more precise.

i don't think site of temperature really matters that. But rectal or ear temperatures are recorded for infants and toddler. Adult thermometers and long enough to get precise temperature oral or under arm. The rule is this, should not change site of temperature in between a BBT cycle.
Oral is good, if you plan to take oral then start it new cycle, continue rectal as of ongoing cycle if you are already measuring it rectally.

BBT can also be taken orally, and I think it is more comfortable than taking rectally. I read in many sites that it can be taken orally....and even on the manual of the thermometer it said that it can be taken orally or through vagina. Hope this info helps.
