HI THERE ALL,
PLZ SUNSHILE OR ARCHIE PLZ ANY ONE CAN GIVE M E SUPPORT. JUST NOW I M IN MUMBAI AT MY IN LAWS HOUSE. HERE I QWANT TO ASK EVERY ONE IS THAT IS ANY ONE PASSED FRM THE TREATMENT CALLED HSG. I M SO AFRAID OF IT. CAUSE I HEARD THAT ITS A PAINFUL PROCEDRE. AND I CANT MY SELF READY FO THAT THING. PLZ ANY ON E CAN SAY. WHAT IS THIS AND IS IT REALLY THAT MUCH PAIN FUL THAT I FEEL? PLZ HELP ME ARCHIE.

PRITTY vineeta replied. i also had hsg done recently . it took around 12-15 mts .it was a little painful (little more than periods pain) . but they give u some injection because of which u sleep after hsg is done . so , dont worry !! hopingfortejas replied. Hey,
I had my HSG in the beg of this year, it is not that painful,

it is a little more bad than a pap smear, that is all ...
one thing i would suggest is that ask ur doc if you can have painkillers befroe it (since there can be some cramping ..)
When they put in the dye, there is a little cramping feeling , but the procedure does not last for too long(i think it took for me 15 minutes..)

It is a very ery useful tool to make sure that ur tubes are open, so i think it is worth the little discomfort(i think the porcedure is not painful but is uncomfortable..!! :) ..)

Try to relax befroe the procedure , bcoz the last thing u want is all ur muscles tensed ...!!
