hello friend
i am also in the us and mother of a girl baby. HOnestly ,when i came here after my marriag ethen i just relaxed as i was already working before my marriage . and now as time passed , i am gettimg more busy in maintaining te home alng with the baby but internally i feel a strong desire to share my feelings , my thoughts with my friends
My life was becoming dull so i joined swimming classes here and go to the library not very much b'z of baby
i find internet a very solid medium for a change . so you can try all of these things .
Good Luck

hi,
i am also from the usa and have a 2 1/2 yr old child. i was very bored and deppressed when i came here after marraige. i wanted to work but couldn't get an opening b'coz they don't give our education enough accreditation. i have done LL.B. but its of no value her.
the best thing to do is go to the mearest library or marnes & nobles or some place, read a book, drink coffee and enjoy. thats how i started enjoying life. this country (USA) has lot to offer. i'm so impressed to see how people work, take care of family and also enjoy life with their partners.
i used to cook meals just once a day and then i had th erest of the tiem to myself. i went to the gym for 1 - 2 hrs, internet, shopping, etc. try to do some college hrs.
do you a kid. after 2 yrs of boredom, i decide to have a baby and then my hands were full. after a long time, now that my baby is 2 1/2 yrs, i have time for myself. i'll start working in a month or two as we have got our green-card now.
so don't get deppressed. just enjoy life here. do the things you didn't do before. join a fun group, go camping etc.

Hi,
Many friends of mine have wives who stay at home and they all feel the same. One suggestion, is that you can do some study part time, to qualify fow work. A second is to team with other similar women and have a fornightly get together with pot luck style lunch. Best of luck to you
