Hi Archie and all,
I read in the site somewhere that refraining from intercourse till u get a positive OPK.I m planning to do like that this month.But i have some doubts. My husaband's sperm count is 24million/ml. And i read somewhere in the internet,if a man didnt ejaculate within 3 -4 days there is will be chances of lots of dead sperms in his ejaculation and that will decrease the motility.Is it true?If it is ,then refraining from intercourse till the day i get +OPK can give a negative effect right? I m really confused abt this.If it is really good for conceiving we wanted to try this way this cycle.Hope Archie or somebody can answer my Qtn.

And also i have one more qtn ,that is i do have very painful periods with vomiting back pain and it is very severe everymonth. I m doubting myself having endometriosis.Any of u have painful periods and not having endo..I m really worried abt this now.Bz this is our 15th month of ttc.And i heard Endometriosis can cause infertility.And this can be diagonised only by laparoscopy:(

Yes Archie ,actually i read in some of ur post abt the refraining for intercourse thing. That is why we would like to do this way this cycle. As per our Dr said we tried everyday and everyother day method.But nothing succeed. I probably ovulate btn 14-19th day of my cycle .So sometimes it is soo confusing if we do 3-4 days gap like if we had intercourse y'day or day beofer y'day and if i see +OPK today then I dont know ,i feel like there wont be enough sperm supply bz ovulation will be after 24-48hrs after OPK. What do u suggest Archie??

Or keep it refrained for about 3-4 days before OPK positive. No they won't be dead in loads of quantity. trust me, in fact I recommend this for many couples and worked for most of them.

pain is quite normal and I don't see signs of endometriosis. Do not let endometriosis thought drive you in wrong directions. that's possible through suspect by ultrasound.

Archie Jaya G replied. to have a gap of 2 to 3 days for intercourse not longer than that to increase chances of good quality sperm! I have never heard about refraining from intercourse altogether till you get +OPK........

With regard to pain while having periods , it is quite common for most women to have pain. I have also suffered severe painful periods but if it is really unbearable then there is nothing wrong in checking with your gynac!!
