my daughter who is 3 1/2 months old passed motion in which there was something like a sticky back flum. whats the reason.

my daughter who is 3 1/2 months old passed motion in which there was something like a sticky back flum. whats the reason.
Hetal replied. hi, talk to your dr about it, once a while babies do pass out odd colours.
also, sticky black flum strikes me that is he having internal cold ! if so, then there is possibility for baby to get rid of cold/mucus by motions,,sometimes babies do that,,
but talk to your dr,,he might be interested in doing some blood test or so,if he thinks its things related to any stomach flu (in 1:5cases,,babies as young as 3.5months get that,,and its not a big thing to worry actually,,its normal and differs from each baby metabolism)
also, if it happens again, please show the soiled diaper to your dr..dont feel shy,,,let your dr see how it looks like,,it will prevent from any test too! also let him know the frequency of such stools.

You can get either glycerin or bisacodyl suppositories in any Indian pharmacy - I recommend saving money by not buying child-size ones, instead cutting adult supps in half to make a child-size dosage.

Most doctors say banana doesn't help - the potassium in it makes constipation worse. Remember you can make your own prune puree in a blender. Grape, grapefruit and papaya are also laxative fruits.
