My three year odl son wants to eat lots of wafers, cheeseballs and munchings. Some of the neighbours havre scared me saying that it has unhygenic salts and flavours. Should I stop it completely?

Well, it is okay, do not give it in overdose. But small bits in a day will not make a difference. Just maintain the balance.

Dear Mita,
I too have a little son of 4 years old, he also used to eat lots of chocolates biscuits etc.. But now I graduallly changed his habits to healthy food stuff, I give him salads, fresh juice and fruits as snacks and he loves to eat cashewnuts, raisins, dates etc.. I would suggest you if possible keep in your fridge some nice cheese singles which your son can take and eat by himself or some nice healthy food visible to the kid. The real reason for our kids snacks eating habit is they eat very less in their breakfast, lunch and at dinner times, and ofcourse they are very active too, so if we could concentrate on this problem I am sure our kids will gradually become more healthy, I tell my son that a banana contain so much energy, a tomoto and cabbage contain lots of calcium etc.. orange contain vitamin c and a bowl of vegetable soup is very good, and nuts have lots of protein and egg is better for your strength etc..I often encourge my son to eat carrot saying it is good for your eyes!!so you too can try this, just let him know how much healthy the fruits and vegetables are I am sure your son will stop eating snacks to a great extent.

best wishes and pl. do not worry, your son is going to be a smart intelligent and brilliant son on whom you are going to be really proud of him!!
