Hi all
can anybody tell me the descipline techniques to discipline 6 and a half year old boy. social manners. i am tired of trying different techniques. sometimes he behaves so good but sometimes because of his behaviour he gets beating. he has a impulsive behaviour because of that he says or hits , and hurt peoples feelings. i love him so much and want best for him . so please somebody tell me the effective techniques to keep him under control.

Hi!! sonia i was waiting for ur reply tell me how is ur son doing he is same or changed ru continueing the trick i gave u radha replied. The suggestions given by other people are goood.

In addition to this, I would advice not to beat the child. Violence teaches violence. Probably thats why your child has started hitting others.

I am myself struggling with this. I used to spank the kid rarely though I knew this should not be done. Then one day I decided not to do this ever again. And for making the child listen to you, what I did was - I sat with my child and talked to him. I explained him by going at his level why I beat him and also apologised and said I know this is wrong. I said I dont want to do this ever again and asked for his co-operation. He probably understood the essence of what I meant to say (3 yr old!).

He is a kid after all and forgets what we had talked. But now when I see myself losing my temper, I control it, take the kid in a quiet room, show him he is doing wrong but I am just scolding and not beating up. This reference reminds him of what was decided between us.

This is working for me. Moreover, talking to him at his level, like his friend, also has helped me.

i forgot to tell u how many to make. Each sheet u make 20 for white and 20 for red that way u will come to know how many time he behaved badly Ramanita replied.
I will tell u a trick u make a naughty point. How to make that is take a card bord and take a white big sheet ur boys bump size and cut in that size place the white sheet on the card board and write with the colour pencil naughty point and when ever he behavious badly make him sit on that
it will work u can try
another one is that u cut white sheet into squire like keep one sheet for bad behaviour and good behaviour when ever he is troubling u u stick on sheet on fridge when he is good put good sheet on the fridge that way he will try to know how many tickets for bad and how many tickets for good he is getting
dont worry he will control that way
one more thing dont hit him he want stop behaving badly that way
