Bowel and Bladder Movements:my daughter stands and does it

Have just started to get my 18 month old girl potty trained. Have taken off the diapers at home, and she has started standing/ running and peeing as well as shitting!!!
Also, she is just TOO active to agree to be sitting on her potty for too long, even with all her toys around her.
So far have not been able to help her make the connection that ka-ka has to be done in her lovely potty
where am I going wrong and what do I do?

Subject:  Toilet problem



My son is 1year 9 months, he also does his potty standing, but in privacy. Whenever he is ready to do toilet he will go in the other room & once he finishes he comes back. I have been trying to get him to sit on his potty, but he cries uncontrollably. For peeing he does it in the bathroom. But I don't know what to do about his shitting. I have tried everything giving him toys, putting on the T.V. but he just doesn't like to sit on the pot. When he is going to shit & I make him sit on the pot then he won't even do it & cries .

You can get either glycerin or bisacodyl suppositories in any Indian pharmacy - I recommend saving money by not buying child-size ones, instead cutting adult supps in half to make a child-size dosage.

Most doctors say banana doesn't help - the potassium in it makes constipation worse. Remember you can make your own prune puree in a blender. Grape, grapefruit and papaya are also laxative fruits. And remember you can safely use baby suppositories as often as you need to (they also help with "training" the baby to do a dirty at the same time every day)... - Su 03 [View Message]
