Hi Ritika

exclusively BM fed babies skip stools for 1-2 days. In many cases 3-4 days.

Give her 1-2 ounce of water between 2 feeds. That is if you feed at 1 give water after 1.5 hrs

Make hir sit in the car seat or hold her upright in the morning just after you feel she has fed full stomach. She will poop regularly.

Hold her upright the moment you see her strainning, motion would ease.

Let me know it work...

Take care
MOmmy

Hi ,

At 3 months, it's normal for a baby to pass motion only once in 2-3 days. As long as the stool is not hard , it's not constipation. Did you consult the doc before giving the suppository medicine ?

A baby's digestive system starts digesting breast milk more efficiently so it's less for elimination.

you're right about not wanting to get her used to the medicine.

RE:Baby cries while passing urine - Hetal pls advice
At the same time the child is feeling some pain So try to understand and consult a doctor.... - sharmasanvi [View Message]
RE:bowel movement in 2 week old infant
Some babies go through phases when they either can't use the muscles to empty their bowels or they "forget how to". In that case, it's safest keep using the suppositories daily to make them do a dirty in 5 minutes.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:where can I get laxative?
You can get either glycerin or bisacodyl suppositories in any Indian pharmacy - I recommend saving money by not buying child-size ones, instead cutting adult supps in half to make a child-size dosage.
(I have a daughter with long-term bowel issues: she can't "do" without them!)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:constipation
When the baby is in discomfort from constipation (especially if she hasn't done some dirty for two days or more), the first thing you should give is a glycerin suppository.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:hi
Most doctors say banana doesn't help - the potassium in it makes constipation worse. Remember you can make your own prune puree in a blender. Grape, grapefruit and papaya are also laxative fruits. And remember you can safely use baby suppositories as often as you need to (they also help with "training" the baby to do a dirty at the same time every day)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Consult a good doctor immediately as this should not be ignored as it will cause a big issue if you let it go now, please seek doctors advice on immediate basis.... - Aditi [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Hi there please be calm and relax as it happens sometime the child takes little time to start walking or crawling also but in your case the child should have started crawling if not walking.... - Anita [View Message]
