Dear Neena,
Folic acid is a precurssor of B12 synthesis. The vitamin B12 is must and has to be in ample amount (storage) inorder to reduce risk of NTD while gestation. This is why taking 1mg each day of Folic acid is good idea. But if you don't take will not make a difference. Remember millions are born without this intake and have no complications. It's not going to improve fertility if that's issue.

Taking vitamin E, it's one needed for reproductive function, I would recommend to get prescription from your Dr. It's not necessary for each couple before getting pregnant.

A prenatal package will be good for you while ttc and during pregnancy and can be obtained in any pharmacy or drug store.

As usual speak with your Dr. for your options.

At your age it can take almost one year to get pregnant therefore have some patience before getting worried on not hitting success.

Archie

Hi Neena,
You can take prenatal vitamins daily. It has folic acid also. You can get them over the counter in any drug store. I'm taking these for last 5 months. Last month I came to know that my haemoglobin level is only 11gms and so I'm taking SlowFe for iron.
Doc's say its good if you take vit's from 3 months before you conceive.
Take Care,
Sushma

Hello Neena
Well folic acid funtions in DNA. And vitamins help you stay strong.
I don't think there is any problem with that. But you should probably ask your doctor that if you can take both at same time. the health department recommend that a pregnant girl should take.

I hope this helps
Good luck & take care
