Foetal Growth Movements:Delayed Ovulation

Hi all,
This is my first pregnancy and my period cycle was always delayed by 4-5 days(comes to around 34 days). My last period was on 9th of OCT.When i did my pregnancy test on 22nd of NOV,it was positive.During my first visit to doc(on 3rd dec),she told me i was about 8-9 weeks.Today(7th jan),i got done my first U/S,which was tranvaginal.Doc said that now i am only 10 weeks pregnant as I might had late ovulation.Should I be worried @ this? She didn't suggest any follwing U/S to check the growth. I read Nicky's problem and now i am little bit scared.Does anyone has any suggestion/comment ?

Thanks

Hi Darshana,

I had a similar case with me and thought to share, it may help in relaxing. I also get late period 2/3 times. My last period date was 17th Sept and when on Oct 27 we did test, it came +ive. On Nov 3rd we had 1st scan to check things are going fine and found only 5 weeks instead of 7weeks. Next 3 scans are telling different story but Dr. suggest to keep EDD unchanged for July 5th till my next schedule scan between 20-22nd week.

Due to this confusion, my hubby has different EDD for me then my Dr, I have to wait and watch who will be more accurate.

With love,
Sudha

Dear Darshana,
As Nicky told your case is way different and although seems some descrapancy you should hold on until 4 more weeks.
If that time gestation meets around 14 weeks if performed an ultrasound or you may be offered an ultrasound around week 20 that time all things will be clear.
I would be happy to know updates, I would expect to hear heart beats by next appointment with doppler and not by ultrasound if that's happening all seems OK, also your Dr. will measure fundus height, let me know what happens there on next visit.
Archie

Hi Darshana

I dont think you need to worry or get so scared. Since you have a history of delayed periods...so its highly likely that you would have had delayed ovulation too! Mine was induced ovulation, and my doc said that I should have had my ovulation at right time!
Had there been anything alarming, your radiologist would have told you straightaway! Just have faith in God...You'll have a healthy baby!
Good Luck!

Nicky

hey ananya this is really a very sensitive case and you should think about it before hand as in what the child would think in future as he or she grows up. Or else you will have to do counselling of the child at the right time.... - ridhi [View Message]

Hi Rupal,
So don't you have any other option because it would be very hard for you to abort the child know.So better ask for any other source if not then you decide what to do.... - Amani [View Message]
