Hi everyone
I am one of those human beings who trust otheres very easily. this happened with mme, one of the girls in my neighbourhood got very freindly with me. she has one son and i have two kids so kids used to play together and being in america its a blessing to find a freind and company for kids. this girl started taking advantage of me by asking household stuff and kind of giving me tension mentally. so i started detaching myself from her. now i came to know that she talks bad about me and things which i haven't done she takes my name in that. i know this problem is very common but it snatches my mental peace.i have to face her everyday because we do car pool for school. so anybody there to tell me some tricks to handle such people and give them tension instead of getting tense myself.last time she invited me for dinner and without informing me she went somewhere , i was feeling very low that how could she inssult me like that. but even after that she was normal and acting as if nothing happened, but i am extremely upset with her , can anycbody please tell me how to make her realise that i didn't like what she did.
Thankyou so much i will be waiting for replies

If this person is causing you so much tension...there is a very simple situation...unlike family...she is just a friend..and friends u can pick and choose!!!! I'm not saying friends should be perfect....all relations have ups and owns...but if this person is being mean...casue u so much mental anguish..start breaking away!!!! Say u r busy when invited..don't invite her...and DON'T car pool any more..I know if makes life simpler to car pool...but everyday contact with this person is not working out for u...so break away. She doesn't seem it fit to give u reasons for her wierd behaviour...so u owe her any explanations.
U'r words r give her tension instead of u...WHY..then u become a mean person..whatz the difference between u and her??
Limit your contact..break away from the friendship..and live a happy life with people u like and get along..an if u hear stories that she is spreading...just correct poeple and move on.
All the best

How to deal with this?
I feel that my husbands parents are using their son. My husband is from India and I am from the USA. He obtained his greencard and citizenship through me after coming here. He is a physician and obtained his residency training. I worked to earn for our family for two years until he got his job. Then he applied for his parents to visit us on a visiting visa. RE:self centered inlaws
I agree they have completely double standards as I recently found out. I saw my husbands childhood photos when he was young. His parents claim they sacrificed everything for their kids and lived poor and behave like martyr parents. Got treated as free domestic servant. But the photos showed them dressed like Bollywood stars with watches and jewellery enjoying their life. O... - Tina [View Message]

RE:Mother-in-law spoiling my child
hello kajal,
if you are rudely talking with her, then this is not way to talking with your mother in law, you tell her in polite way, your son is her grand son, so she never think about his bad effects.... - ruchita [View Message]
