How do I teach a 10 year child to not blurt out in class or stop talking when its not time to talk? She's a very smart kid, but her excessive & constant talking seems to get her in trouble the majority of the time. Subha Sreekant replied. I am in the same boat as you both. My child is 5 years old. she is smart but she also loves to talk a lot. I think you should channelize her energy elsewhere. May be she feels that she is not heard. try sending her to classes where they teach her public speaking. send her to elecution competitions. hope it works for you.
