Problems in School:Son is a day dreamer ..
2003-10-09
Name: Sumi

Hello friends,
My 6 yrs old son has a habit of day dreaming.Although he is very bright and imaginative , the habit is affecting his performance in the classroom. His teacher complains that although the quality of work he does is excellent , he is terribly slow in finishing his work. At home he needs constant reminding to do his jobs. Sometimes I feel guilty that may be in trying to help him come out of the habit I am actually nagging him .He is otherwise a gem of a kid - very obedient , understanding and considerate.
Can anyone help me by giving some concrete suggestions ?

Sumi

Let him dream ! As long as he is not doing poorly in school let him dream. Day dreaming boosts imagination which is a great thing -- don't we all day dream? I still do and wouldn't want anyone to make me stop.
