hi!! Everyone,
i had irregular menses and finally i have got pregnant my last menses were on the 30 aug 2004.
due to morning sickness i got a sonography done on the 2 nov,the reports said that i was 5 weeks and 1day pregnant..on my visit to the doctor on the 13th november he said that i was around 9 weeks pregnant..i have been suggested to do my next sonography in the 1st week of january..
my morning sickness is unbearable but i am taking only multivitamin medicines and folic acid tablets
.i have been observing that my tummy is already growing and i have started feeling heavy,i take very moderate food and go for my daily walks...pls advice

Vanita,

The first time I was pregnant, I had sickness all day long, morning, noon and night! It lasted a full 5-6 months. I didn't gain any weight during this time but still my tummy grew. About 6 months, the sickness just totally disappeared and then I gained weight very quickly till the end -- I found eating salty things would help settle my stomach and I took my vitamins at night when I would go to sleep. Try some salty potato chips and see if this helps your sickness.

Hi vanita,
I too faced the same problem.I'm 26 weeks pregnant now and initially I had these vomittings and nausea so I couldn't eat anything.I lost 6 pounds during first 3 months and had to take medication too.My doctor advised me to stop prenatals and just take folic acid.It made a difference.I used to drink lots of fluids as I got dehydrated.Once after getting up I used to eat few almonds which helped me a bit.I noticed an increse in my tummy from my second month itself.
