I also want to lose wt mostly i can say the BABY FAT.
Right now i am 145lb and i want to lose another 25lb. I am also vegetarian. Can you please tell me what u make for luch and dinner so that i can have some ideas where i am doing wrong. I am doing cardio for 5 days. I burn 600 calories. I guess i have to work hard so i can burn more calories .
I will appreciate for your help.

Here' s what i make for dinner and usually i take the same for lunch the next day at work.
1. Dal everyday. say tomato dal, mango dal, spinach dal, sambaar, cabbage dal etc.
2. One curry everyday. We eat lot of tindoras, okra, brinjal(egg plant),cabbage, snake gaurd(actually guards of all kinds).
3. since i' am south indian, we eat lot of pickles and pachadis(pastes) made out of mangoes and lentils. Variety.
4. I cook food everyday and don' t plan much. Whatever i find, i cook. But i do make sure that everything is available in plenty in the fridge everyweek.
5. When i open my fridge, i see yogurt, baby spinach, blueberries, salad tomatoes and all the compartments in the fridge are filled with vegetables.
6. For oils, i use olive oil and peanut oil. Must say i use a lot of sesame seed oil too.
7. Most of the cabinets in the kitchen are filled with health foods. One section has all the dry fruits : cranberries, cherries, walnuts, almonds, apricots, prunes, raisins, pistachios(actuall i don' t eat a whole lot of this but my family does). I buy all these from Sam' s club or Costco in bulk and stock them.
8. There is only one small section filled with junk food and i usually don' t even go there. It' s entirely my husbands dept to stock. I never buy at junk food even when i go grocery shopping.
9. My kids also end up eating all the raw vegetables since the junk food is not accessible to them and when they open the fridge they see only the good stuff.
10. Not to forget the section in the pantry where we store all the 100% whole wheat flour, 100% whole wheat breads, cereals(agani whole grains from Kashi), cracked wheat for kichdi, pastas of various kinds(only whole wheat based) and noodles(maggi whole wheat, daal ones), soups etc..
I know it' s a lot of info to digest but use as much as you find it useful. Good luck and let me know if you see any difference.
