I am very skinny. I want to become a little bigger without getting very muscular. Please help!!! Ive tried everything i could think of!!!

Also, I am presuming you are a woman? Don't worry about too much muscle gain. Women simply don't have enough testosterone in their body to put on muscle mass the same way a man can under the same conditions.

I would suggest a good way to put on weight without becoming fat would be to get into resistance training with weights and increasing the amount of protein in your diet.

Do not worry, it is a very common perception that if a woman gets into weights she will become big. Truth of the matter is you will not. In fact, women and men will always lose weight and size during the early months of a workout/diet programme until their body adapts and starts improving its muscle tone. In the case of men, assuming there is a diet grounded in proteins, this can result in significant weight gain. In women, even with the same diet, it will not result in the same level of weight gain.

I would highly recommend getting into resistance training with weights or pilates while increasing the amount of protein in your diet (and water consumption) drastically. Basically, you need more calories in your diet alongside exercise that will use those calories. Just make sure they are calories from good sources, so not soft drinks, ice creams, sweets, deep fried things, white/refined flour breads, etc.

Just eat more healthy things more frequently throughout the day, a lot more water, and a lot more resistance-based exercise.

Things take time. In my case, it took almost three months under an intense weight train/gain programme before I started to gain mass.
