Hi everyone
I was just wondering if water will help you in losing weight or gaining weight because I just read in 1 of the posts that it will help you gain weight (altleast that what I think I read). In these days, I am trying to lose weight from the lower part of my body (thighs and legs) by drinking more water throughout the day and I don't wanna end up ganing more weight....And if you have any suggestions about how to lose weight in the lower part of the body, pls tell me

. . . can't lost weight just in the lower part of your body. Non-surgical spot fat reduction is a myth, unfortunately. You need to engage in more aerobic and resistance-based exercises. Pilates (resistance exercise) is a good way to develop leaner muscles while you take up brisk walking or running (aerobic exercise). Ideally, aerobic exercises should be done before your first meal of the day after you wake up. Your body is already bereft of calories/empty stomach at that point in time and doing aerobic activity then is the best way to ensure that the aerobic exercise you are doing is burning fat.

You will also want to reduce the number of carbs, sugars, refined food products, deep-fried, fatty foods from your diet to assist in weight loss. You will also want to increase the amount of protein in your diet drastically along with water consumption.

if the person increases or reduces carb,s proteins or anything for that matter, the key is calories expenditure. If you eat anything, and expend less, it will add up, even if its fiber to an extent.
Secondly, you need to exercise a bit to raise your metabolic rate.
Thirdly, always eat in this ratio, carbs 35%, protein 35%, fats and fiber 30%, and not in any other ratio. too much protein can harm, if you arent building muscle.
Water doesnt make you gain weight, it doesnt have any calories.
Having a cold glass of water in the morning, wont even raise the metabolism substantially. Tea and coffee do, but they more side effects than good effects.

. . . should stay well-hydrated at all times, so at least 2-3 litres of water a day. This will prevent your body from thinking is is dehydrated and storing water every chance it gets in your fat cells.

In terms of whether it can help or hurt weight loss, I would definitely say a lack of water will interfere with any weight loss/exercise regimen you have. In terms of helping weight loss, it will stop your body from storing all the water it can, as well, having a cold glass of water right after you wake up can also help increase your metabolism ever so slightly, but if you do that everyday, the extra burned calories do add up.
