Problems in School:Pre-nursery

Hi,

My son is in Pre-nuresery. Resently i got a note from his teacher that he refuses to hold crayons in his hand. What should i do?? Can't it be that the teacher is not able to convince him to do something. How can i make a 3 yr old understand what he should and should not do at school??

Hello fellow parent,
I just wanted to say not to worry too much. Children go through phases and sometimes, little ones are so busy, they do not like sitting still to hold crayons or listen to a story...

What you can do at home to \";work with your child\"; is put out some crayons at home and paper; encourage him to pick up a crayon. Maybe you could begin coloring on some paper and then, he will eventually become interested.

I would not worry too much, afterall, he is very young and at this age, they (children) are really into moving around and exploring. He will out grow this phase in no time.

...as far as the teacher is concerned, she may be able to find a new approach and see if it works for her and your child.

Take care,
Nina

Thanks Neena, this is what i tried with him lately. I kept drawing things and he ws like ...not interested but was ready to try it if i held his hand. I did that and guess what when i asked his teacher again, she said he has improved.

I guess we need to give children some time before me make any conclusions or react.
