Bowel and Bladder Movements:diarrhoea

Name: vinita patil dear mums,pls.advise asap........my son 11 mths old.......had cold and cough ,doc gave antibiotic ,now cold/cough ok but he has started passing motions,little watery,sticky wid light green colour.........i gave him arrowrroot powder cooked in water......giving him rice water...........should i give him formula milk or not......also pls.guide if he must be shown to doc........or home remedies ok...........he is fine just has loss of appetite not eating anything.............pls.help am too worried.

if he has loss of appetiteyou must definitely consult doctor.
passing loose stools also cud be if teeth is coming. still doctors recomendation is good as u said greenish colour is ther as usually green colour is due too infection.

You can get either glycerin or bisacodyl suppositories in any Indian pharmacy - I recommend saving money by not buying child-size ones, instead cutting adult supps in half to make a child-size dosage.

Most doctors say banana doesn't help - the potassium in it makes constipation worse. Remember you can make your own prune puree in a blender. Grape, grapefruit and papaya are also laxative fruits. And remember you can safely use baby suppositories as often as you need to (they also help with "training" the baby to do a dirty at the same time every day)... - Su 03 [View Message]
