Subject:  keep the baby hydrated

hi,
my son always had infantile diarrhoea quite a few times. it usually subsides in 4-5 days. if the test reports are normal then keeping your baby hydrated is the only thing you can do. if baby is more than 6 months old you should give her ORS and if she is still feeding then feed her regularly. just don' t let her get dehydrated.

Subject:  ur baby..

dear shivi..
u havnt mentioned how old is ur baby. anyway my baby had the same problem and she had small red spots(open wounds)too around the genitals and anus due to the continous motion. i consulted a good and experienced doctor and he said that its quite normal for babies till 5-6 months and that its not actually diarrhoea. its because of the consumption of air that the baby tends to release gas very often and the stool remaining in the rectum also comes out. so its necessary to reduce the gas consumption like patting on ur shoulder for atleast 15 minutes or until baby burps for 3 times.along with this u can use \" rashfree ointments\" if baby has rashes around her genitals. with tat my baby had little changes and when i started bottle feeding, she passes stool only once or twice a day and the wounds are now completely cured.

RE:Baby cries while passing urine - Hetal pls advice
At the same time the child is feeling some pain So try to understand and consult a doctor.... - sharmasanvi [View Message]
RE:bowel movement in 2 week old infant
Some babies go through phases when they either can't use the muscles to empty their bowels or they "forget how to". In that case, it's safest keep using the suppositories daily to make them do a dirty in 5 minutes.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:where can I get laxative?
You can get either glycerin or bisacodyl suppositories in any Indian pharmacy - I recommend saving money by not buying child-size ones, instead cutting adult supps in half to make a child-size dosage.
(I have a daughter with long-term bowel issues: she can't "do" without them!)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:constipation
When the baby is in discomfort from constipation (especially if she hasn't done some dirty for two days or more), the first thing you should give is a glycerin suppository.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:hi
Most doctors say banana doesn't help - the potassium in it makes constipation worse. Remember you can make your own prune puree in a blender. Grape, grapefruit and papaya are also laxative fruits. And remember you can safely use baby suppositories as often as you need to (they also help with "training" the baby to do a dirty at the same time every day)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Consult a good doctor immediately as this should not be ignored as it will cause a big issue if you let it go now, please seek doctors advice on immediate basis.... - Aditi [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Hi Karthik this is a serious issue and you should look into this matter very seriously as its concern with your own child and you cannot let things go, have a good consulting done by a good doctor.... - Amaira [View Message]
