hi,
My co-sister's brother got married last year. My parents were not invited, they felt very bad and insulted as my co-sis pretends to be very nice in front of them. Now recently my brother marriage talk is going on, date will be finalized soon. My parents don't want to invite my co-sis's family. I am in dilemma, just can't convince my parents to send them an invitation. What do I do?

I agree with what others are saying. Why should they send invitation. Don't let them bow down because these are your husband's relatives. Your parents command respect too. And it is not a close relation either.

You both are right. I also don't want my parents to call my co-sis's parents but it was just a second thought. They were insulted and I also felt very bad. My co-sis should also realise how it feels.
thank you jb and ab.

I think your parents should not send invitation......Why should they send??? they were insulted...if ur co-sis asks u anything about this....u can can tell her that ur parents too forgot to invite mine when ur borther get married....

They should also realise how it feels not to get invited....What is wrong is wrong.....

i might have been little harsh...but that's the way life is!!!!

Hey Grishma
I didnt get this right...Why do you want your parents to invite your co-sis's family? Did you not feel insulted by such blatant insult to your parents when your Co-sis's brother got married...
I feel your parents are right in not wanting to invite them and you should support them...Your parents respect is in your hands, you should not let anyone trifle with it...

Best of luck...

How to deal with this?
I feel that my husbands parents are using their son. My husband is from India and I am from the USA. He obtained his greencard and citizenship through me after coming here. He is a physician and obtained his residency training. I worked to earn for our family for two years until he got his job. Then he applied for his parents to visit us on a visiting visa. RE:self centered inlaws
I agree they have completely double standards as I recently found out. I saw my husbands childhood photos when he was young. His parents claim they sacrificed everything for their kids and lived poor and behave like martyr parents. Got treated as free domestic servant. But the photos showed them dressed like Bollywood stars with watches and jewellery enjoying their life. O... - Tina [View Message]

RE:Mother-in-law spoiling my child
hello kajal,
if you are rudely talking with her, then this is not way to talking with your mother in law, you tell her in polite way, your son is her grand son, so she never think about his bad effects.... - ruchita [View Message]
