Bowel and Bladder Movements:talk to your baby
2008-09-01
Name: Vasundhara

When I change the diaper of my baby I try to talk to him. It is said that you can have good conversation with your baby while changing diaper, while feeding and while bathing him. When I tie a nappy to my baby I try to make all sorts of funny faces. I try to engage his eyes so that he will not realise that I am actually changing his nappy. Sometimes my son makes lot of noise while changing the diaper. He actually can not be calm. Take out some toys out of the toy box and distract your little one for a wile. What I do is, I try to tie the nappy as soon as possible. You should not take much time to accomplish the task of tying a nappy. Tie a nappy and then put your little one at safe place. Then dispose the used diaper and clean the area to get rid of unwanted germs.

RE:bowel movement in 2 week old infant
Some babies go through phases when they either can't use the muscles to empty their bowels or they "forget how to". In that case, it's safest keep using the suppositories daily to make them do a dirty in 5 minutes.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:where can I get laxative?
You can get either glycerin or bisacodyl suppositories in any Indian pharmacy - I recommend saving money by not buying child-size ones, instead cutting adult supps in half to make a child-size dosage.
(I have a daughter with long-term bowel issues: she can't "do" without them!)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:constipation
When the baby is in discomfort from constipation (especially if she hasn't done some dirty for two days or more), the first thing you should give is a glycerin suppository.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:hi
Most doctors say banana doesn't help - the potassium in it makes constipation worse. Remember you can make your own prune puree in a blender. Grape, grapefruit and papaya are also laxative fruits. And remember you can safely use baby suppositories as often as you need to (they also help with "training" the baby to do a dirty at the same time every day)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Consult a good doctor immediately as this should not be ignored as it will cause a big issue if you let it go now, please seek doctors advice on immediate basis.... - Aditi [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Hi Karthik this is a serious issue and you should look into this matter very seriously as its concern with your own child and you cannot let things go, have a good consulting done by a good doctor.... - Amaira [View Message]
