Name: shilpi Thanxs 4 u'r reply..My husbands sperm count is normal...and all my test r also normal except 1 that is FREE TESTOSTERONE which is 7.1...which DR says its higher...is bcose of this i am unable to conceive? and she(Dr) said if i just take clomid there r more chances of misscarriage...i don't understand what to do as i am again expecting my periods in 2-3 days..i have to decide soon ....i really appreciate u'r advice...an all the best to u...thanks

Clomid with IUI

Dear shilpi,
I am at the same situation as urs. I would suggest u should go for clomid with IUI. It has a better chance than just clomid. I have gone thru 2 cycles of IUI but unfortunately didn't work.

Regarding ur FREE TESTOSTERONE I would suggest you should ask ur doc for checking ur blood insuline level. It may be the cause of increase in the TESTOSTERONE. Am I right Archie? Because after 3 years of fighting with unexplained infertility when I was going thru first IVF cycle they found that my overian response to the IVF drug was too high and they say it is because of underlying tendancy of PCO. Though I never had any of the symptoms of PCO. I have regular cycle.

Dear Shilpi,
I will say Kiran is correct.
You can also ask to perform some Thyroid gland analysis along with insulin to investigate on Free Testesteron.

Clomid with IUI will enhances chances. If you and Dr. agree that if got pregnant on Clomid chances of miscarriage are enhanced, monitoring close and you taking full bed rest for first trimester will help keeping pregnancy normal.

Discuss possibilities with your Dr.
