Trying since long:IUI

I had 25 mm follicle when I did u/s on cd12..so I went in for IUI same day(same day HCG shot)..MY husband has normal count in general..and that day sperm count was 33 mil/ml.. then again I went for u/s next day on cd13,which showed still that follicle which was 25 mm reduced to 22 mm and was wierd in look,so doctor told that u may be ovulating..so it's good time for one more IUI.. SO I went for one more IUI..but this time my husband count redused drastically,,it was only 5 million/ml with only .03 million/ml normal sperm which were both motile and morphologically normal..Now I am worried that when I did IUI with good sperm count I didnt ovulated that day ,,but next day I ovulated and had IUI with very low count? can u pls any one know is there any chance for me?or this cycle is bust?

Thanx Archie and Kiran for giving me some hope..I try to keep myself cool..

I have some questions,,pls tell me if u know..is there any way that doctor can make whether I ovulated on ulrasound..bcoz my 25mm follicle was reduced to 22 mm when I went second time..doctor told I must be ovulating..is there any possibility that I ovulated and that must be corpus luteum cyst..
bcoz when I went to same doctor last for first altrasound,,even doctor could not able to make out that I ovulated as I had 22 mm follicle last time and doctor told I had not yet ovulated, but later it confirmed that I had ovulated when my doctor said I am not..I am not saying doctor may be wrong..but i have heard it is little bit confusing to tell when it comes whether we ovulated or not by means of ultrasound only..
one more question:when doctor say they did IUI with 5 mil/ml sperm, that means it contains only good sperm or total count including dead sperms and abnormal sperms? sorry for asking too many questions..

Dear Nidhi,

Kiran has made a wonderful advise.

IUI will enhance chances of sperms to enter fallopian tube, which is sometime difficult, even with normal sperm count a few thousand sperms will make in fallopian tube and only one will fertilize your egg.

You have had 30,000 sperms/ml and absolutely normal ones on the day of ovualtion. Also wonderful quantity and quality a day before ovulation. Given the fact that sperms can live in fallopian tube as long as 3-5 days I think you need to stay calm for another 15 days until you are confirmed or ruled out for pregnancy.

Your Dr. may perform some blood analysis in a week or a few more days, which may indicate success/failure of trial.

Trust me, it takes 3-6 IUI cycles for success, this is solitarily due to not getting correct ovulation time at the time of IUI. If the IUI is done pretty closer to ovulation chances are increased a lot.

Good luck
Archie

Dear Nidhi,
Don't loose hope. You know what only one little sperm is required to fertilise the egg. I agree that ur chances r less but still there is a possiblity that one out of .03 million/ml sperm can reach up to the egg and can fertilise it. Offcourse you have a chance.

Think possitive.
