Yes,sure you have successfully explained the details regarding the OPK testing which, i was ignorant about.
I had my last menstrual period on 1st May,i guess i will have to skip this cycle regarding the BBT but intend to continue testing with OPK and cervical mucous .
After reading your reply to my 1st mail only yesterday, i couldn't wait to purchase an OPK ,i have the Clearblue easy test pack (maybe i will look for other OPK's too).I tested yesterday 17th May around 3:30 pm(i was so eager to test that i could not adhere to the instructions like,taking the test between 12 noon and 3 p.m and also not having urinated for 4 hrs until before testing etc.).The result was a faint line against the darker line on the ovulation test stick,which raised my hopes and will be testing today also but i will follow the instructions though.
As for the mucous it was kind of thick and cloudy today morning.
As for intercourse we had it on 16th and 17th too.
Since, this is the 1st cycle i am monitoring with OPK etc. all my steps are going wrong but i am sure i will follow the instruction step by step next cycle.
I have to confess the details that you have provided are exclusive .I appretiate your efforts.

I agree that playing with BBT, and OPK may not help much in this cycle.

If your cycles are about 30 days then you may have surpassed ovulation already.

CM:It's thick cloudy a few days before ovulation and after ovulation. First week (for 28 days cycle) is dry. Thick cloudy mucus will start around CD8-Cd9 and become EWCM around CD12-CD13. Ovulation would take place CD13-CD14 and CM will return to thick cloudy nature by CD14-CD15 (depending on ovulation day CD14 for Ovulation on CD13). This thick mucus may stay for another 3-5 days or until you experience menses.

The right day of intercourse with CM is when thick cloudy mucus turns in to EWCM.

If your cycles are 40 days then testing OPK would be fine otherwise I would have to say save these tests for next cycle.

If you tell me your cycles if they are regular or not and exact length I may be in a position to help avoiding some extra expenses on OPK:)

I know you will take it easy and relax, as you have made up mind to follow advise from next cycle it looks you will be relaxed this cycle for sure.

I have to tell try not to intercourse each day. Some mens with normal semen results require little more than 24 hours to produce sufficient numbers of mature sperms. Here again avoiding freqency of intercourse will help gaining many mature sperms from your spouse side, we should not ingnore importance of Mature sperm while ttc, they contribute equal to fertility as much ovulation or womens part does.
