My Baby is 2 yrs old now..off late since last 2 months she is having constipation. Sometimes she doesnt do for 2 days and some times she will do almost 8-10 times but very little little...i have checked with 2 docs they say that there is no issue but she gets irrited by the end of the day and also its tiresome for people handling her at home since am a working mother. Her diet is normal but my baby doent take too much of milk ..all she has is one cup of milk in the morning and curds or cheese in the later day along with normal diet. She also eats banana and other fruits.

Can somebody help me with home remedies for getting her a normal and regular bowel movements.

Hi!
Introduce healthy salads, preferably if it is slightly boiled,Whole wheat bread or chappatis, oats or dalia porridge, fruits. All these are rich in fibers.Try to give her luke warm water.Have patience.

RE:Baby cries while passing urine - Hetal pls advice
At the same time the child is feeling some pain So try to understand and consult a doctor.... - sharmasanvi [View Message]
RE:bowel movement in 2 week old infant
Some babies go through phases when they either can't use the muscles to empty their bowels or they "forget how to". In that case, it's safest keep using the suppositories daily to make them do a dirty in 5 minutes.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:where can I get laxative?
You can get either glycerin or bisacodyl suppositories in any Indian pharmacy - I recommend saving money by not buying child-size ones, instead cutting adult supps in half to make a child-size dosage.
(I have a daughter with long-term bowel issues: she can't "do" without them!)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:constipation
When the baby is in discomfort from constipation (especially if she hasn't done some dirty for two days or more), the first thing you should give is a glycerin suppository.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:hi
Most doctors say banana doesn't help - the potassium in it makes constipation worse. Remember you can make your own prune puree in a blender. Grape, grapefruit and papaya are also laxative fruits. And remember you can safely use baby suppositories as often as you need to (they also help with "training" the baby to do a dirty at the same time every day)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Consult a good doctor immediately as this should not be ignored as it will cause a big issue if you let it go now, please seek doctors advice on immediate basis.... - Aditi [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Hi there please be calm and relax as it happens sometime the child takes little time to start walking or crawling also but in your case the child should have started crawling if not walking.... - Anita [View Message]
