A few days before my menses were due, i started getting a kind of heavy feeling in the lower area as if my menses would come anytime. Its been a week past my due date and still no sign of the menses. Had taken a blood test 2 days after my due date but negative. Could this be a probable sign of pregnancy. I have no other symptoms at all. When could I take another test, I plan to take home test this time. DeccanIVF replied. You can take a home urine pregnancy test right away. If it is negative, you can take progesterone tablets to induce a withdrawal bleed.

~ Dr Sulbha Arora Mohan replied. It is first visible in blood and then in urine few days later. Anyway wait for a week or more and try using one of those kits that can be used at home to test HCG. It' s called Velocit. If it is positive you will find very very faint pink line and it becomes more pronounced as days goes by. Blood test after few more days will also tell you the result if you don' t want to wait till u can use velocit.
