Planning a Baby  Discussion Forum

Hi friends,
Same sad story again. We' ve been trying since last 5 yrs. Visited many doctors. Done all sort of tests and underwent seven IUI cycles. There was nothing wrong, but end result came negative. We' ve been told this is ' unexplained infertility' . Only god knows how to come out from this. Doctor has suggested us to take a break for 3 months. Its now become very difficult for me to console my wife as she starts believe no hope in life. She is equally reluctant to go for any further medical help. She is totally shattered and emotionaly upset. She starts avoiding friends/relatives and not attending any social program. Now I am more concern to take back my wife in normal life than having a baby since it is not in my hand.

i can fulluy understand what your wife is feeling i have been through 8iuis in last
so many years almost 8 now,2 failed icsi procedures and last attempt the 3rd one was successful after i changed my dr this time i went to dr jatin shah in mumbai, why dont u go to him.however in my case the pregnancy did last more than 12 weeks,atleast the positive part is now i know i can get pregnant. and i will soon ,so tell her not to lose hope and cheer up.even i have unexplained infertility and we are trying since 8 yrs
good luck and god bless Sumi replied. Hi, i think you should help her. Adobpting is not as easy as everyone says. Most of the ladies keep thinking about this a lot and get mentally upset. You keep her happy. Try to do what she likes, let her not be ideal, ask her to take some interesting class, learn something new, let her meet her friends. Talk to people. Take a break or a vaccation. Spend lots of good time cuddling each other. i am sure u can change her. Best wishes to you. Mohan replied. All doctors will tell you that it is important to have hope and do not get distressed. It is easier said than done. I was in the same boat not very long ago and I can completely understand how it is like. At times like these it is important to be with your wife and take a holiday where you don' t know anyone and spend some time. Once you are back go for IVF unless there is financial situation. We also did 7-8 IUI cycles and finally we got thru on second attempt of IVF. There is always hope. jaya replied. Why dont u adopt a child....i think it is a gr8 job.....
