add flex seed to your diet, if your husband eat yougurt he can add 1 tablespoon on ground flex seed in his yougurt. Eat salad especially onion, cerlery really help to reduce cholersterol. One main thing to add at least 30 minutes of exercise to his day just fast walking is fine. And ofcourse no fat in take like puris and ghee on roti's, and when cooking dal's only add a tablesspoon on cooling oil like olive oil. If you follow all the above your husband will definatley can reduce his bad cholesterol. From Canada

hi indu...
i m a dietitian..
see if ur husb is suffering frm h-chol..
i would suggest u that u change the oil u r using -- use combination of --- safflower n rice bran oil or of sunflower n rice bran oil -- is avai in market.
also for a mth stop his intake of cheese, butter, cream. use skim or tonned milk.
give him more fiber rich food
avoid non-veg for a while if taking or give him only chicken soup
