Thanks JRG!! I have chosen Madras Medical Mission. They are tooo slow. Everytime we go there, we should dedicate half a day there, though ur time wit the doc would be for only 5-10 mins... But we' re still planning to go ahead with them because of the many good reviews :)

i had unexplained infertility so i just like tht checked in prasanth hospital which dr geetha haripriya whose is heard to be famous for ivf and twins !!! so i got hyped up n went, god i was n shock all my reports were normal but hcg said tubes where blocked and uterus shape was abnormal (tubes will be blocked if u had an abortion or tb or some other dieases ) thn the next shock was tht my husband had low sperm count we were shattered !! and to meet her we hav to wait upto 11:30 n she will speak to us for max min 10minutes if we hav question she will say ask my assistant !! whn i was with these report she saw n told u hav to surgery in which we will see whtz with yr uterus and tyr to release the tubes!! not even the surgery name whn asked she said histerectomy and something else ! these surgery is the one which has no gaurentee of normal pregnacy but will end in ivf only ! she was like i am not in station u do at the earliest so tht u will get pregnt in 3mths dont wrry if u are n tension and desprete u will agree n go a head which i didnt i went for second opinoin told the doc the same so then i went to apollo any clinic or main apollo whr i met dr sharath for my husband n dr vinutha for me they ask me to repeat the hsg n my husband sperm analysis u wll not belive my husbands sperm count was normal so as mine tubes n uterus !!!!!
so if u go n for any specific infertility clinics they do it for money where as apollo is not in for ivf and the rates are much better than any fertility clincs !!

u could go to apollo clinic n adyar or anywhere docs like vinutha or charumathy are good becoz my sis was under charumathy and me vinutha !!

Hi, I am 28 years old . I have corpus luteum cyst of size 39mm in right ovary.Doc advised to repeat tvs after next periods. after next period on 27th april, cyst is there and of the same size.Again doc advised to repeat tvs after next periods. i have done tvs again on 6th june but cyst is of same size.

I am saying that you need to do your research and my research shows that they are not the best available in the area. Unless things have changed since the last time that I researched:
- they do not have an embroyologist on site (no guarantee that they will do a good job or replace the right embryo)
- they have traveling doctors (no one that is available for you)
- no specialists specifically trained in reproductive medicine

I do not know these for facts but I have heard that they do unnecessary tests and also make you pay for medication that you may not need. That is that they will do an IVF even if you don´ t need it, so they can make more and \" guarantee\" success.

Again, these are only things that I have heard and do not know for a fact. Since you are already in it I would suggest that you go ahead with it. Ask for guarantees that the gametes transfered are going to be yours. Tell them that you will test. That should make sure that you will get the right one transferred.

Can I ask you how you heard about Ishwarya? Good luck with the cycle and wish you all the best.

PS: Someone posted about a year ago on how to choose an IVF center. Let me see if I can find it and post it.

go to iswarya womens hospital in adyar. its near to you. heard its very good. no other ivf centers in south chennai

there is one center in adyar called iswarya fertility centre. heard its good.

initially was treated in Dr.jayaganeshan in vellore. i did iui 3 times there.. din conceive. finally saw a lot of advices in net. preferred either iswarya or gg. ovulation induction was done by scan monitoring for me. my husband had slightly lesser count. finally the dos suggested to go for icsi considering our age group.then single embryo was transferred. now conceived in iswarya by icsi. i suggest any couple who are in need of ivf treatment to go to iswarya. i heard there are other centers in chennai which have good ambience and treatments. finally found success rate is good here...

i conceived in this hospital. it was very good to get treated here.. hope this is one of the best fertility hospital. dr.chandralekha was very friendly.. thanks a lot...

I would highly recommend Dr. Jeyarani Kamaraj of Aakash Fertility clinic.

Regarding Aakash Fertility Clinic, the quality of treatment is not as good as it was. The success rate has also gone down.Out of 20 IVF 2 success and 18 Failures. I am one of them

Dr samundi sankari at Srushti hospital is very good. she dedicates her time so much for her patients. she was chief in kilpauk and she has introduced ivf treatment in govt hospital. such a kind hearted person. U will be blssed like me as somethin says tat she has tat positive energy in her hand.

I might not agree all the aspects commented on Dr. Geetha Haripriya. Iknow that its difficult to meet her. But we should at the same time think of the patients their and she is sincerely trying her best to meet everyone. I m a regular patient for Dr. Geetha. I visit india once in 6 months and Eventhough i had 3 iui failed she gave great importance to each of her patient. No cheating at all. I have planed for an ivf with her and she has told me the success rate is 50% only. i believe that she will try her very best for me.

Having tried all the self positioned / self proclaimed reputed IVF clinics in Chennai ...and as a result of all my research and information gathering, i would like to conclude with my strong recommendation towards Apollo Hospital.

While looking for info on IVF clinics online I came across GG Hospital and Prashant Hospital . I wasted weeks in these clinics which also resulted in a lot of stress until I was referred to Dr Sarath at Apollo Chennai.

I am writing all of this in detail only to ensure that none of you go through what i have been through and endure the stress due to the incompetent and unprofessional approach meted out by many prior to the consultation with Apollo chennai.

Dr Sarat and his team were indeed very helpfuland i had a good experience during the ICSI process conducted at Apollo Chennai. I was never made to feel any kind of stress or inconvenience by Dr. Sharat and his able team . The good part is that he consulrts all patients himself thus avoiding unpleasantries dealing with junior staff and different people each day.

Dr. Sarath supervises the patients and their progress personally thus ensuring that each patient is made very comfortable with the ongoing procedure which is not the case with all the other clinics in Chennai rendering similar services.

Prior to Apollo I had visited the GG Hospital and my experience was terrible...it turned out to be worse than any government hospital operated the famous Dr Kamala Ganesan who didnt bear a close resemblance of being an assistant / compounder leave alone being a doctor of such repute...the place was filthy and to add on to your agony, you are also made to wait for 6 hours to just meet her and her juniors .And her charges are quite high compared to the facilities / service provided.Just that the poor uneducated patients from villages may not be aware of the choices available and are exploited accordingly.

I would never recommend anyone to visit this particular place even if this is the last place on this planet. I was standing here for 6 hours scared to sit or touch anything and get some infection. There seems to have no system in place at all given that some patients were made to lie on beds which still carried fresh stains of blood on them.

The next place I visited was Prashant Hospital run by Dr Geetha Haripriya . Her pretence is that she is over worked and still does a favor by seeing patients at 11 pm etc - just an unwanted hype the way you look at it Again you have to wait for atleast 3 hours and then Dr Geetha sees a new patient for less than 5 minutes and seems more interested in the revenues that could be generated by writing a series of tests ,even though you have previous results ..

She was clearly noticed giving her cell number to NRI patients and her staff also forces you to write the profession and annual income etc which is very uncanny and seemingly done with an aim to earn more out of NRI patients.

I also went to MMM to meet Dr Thangam. Again i encountered a weird system and even a simple visit takes a minimum 2 hours and again you are subjected to Junior Doctors. The doctor is very reputed and was indeed very professional and had a very friendly approach but I dont think she does the IVF treatment herself due to her age. There are other doctors who do it and its not comforting to consult one doctor and have the procedures done by other doctors. Also by the time you get past the reception and then the nurses to see the doctor a minimum of 2 hours had passed .

Upon speaking to some patients they also mentioned that after you start treatment also its the same experience. Though I liked Dr Thangam, I did not prefer the hospital system and the confusion it generated.

The whole process of IVF is so mentally stressful that you need a place where you dont have to wait endlessly everyday for a month and then deal with different doctors everyday . Its really important to trust your doctor and be comfortable in the hospital environment .

Also the place has to be clean and hygienic so you are relaxed .

I even went to Bombay and Delhi to meet other doctors in Fertility clinics and found a place in Bombay which was good.

Then as last resort I went to Apollo and confirmed an appointment the same day, there was no waiting period and met Dr Sarath and within 5 minutes I was convinced about his credibility. I am currently undergoing treatment at the Apollo as i pen this mail down.

Hence, i conclude with best wishes to one and all who wish to undergo the IVF treatment and hope the above lines do prove useful in your search.

thanks anu for sharing your information. these days many places are bad, many docs are careless. i myself had a personal experience of a couple of bad ones... one at lifeline and one at kamakshi... felt they were doing the profession as a hobby, coming at random times, never ever punctual... only in these forums we come to know of these things... thx
