Has anyone got postcoital test done in Chennai? Surprisingly all the 3 doctors that i visited did not suggest it. Its been 2 years since we got married, got many tests done (ultrasound, HSG, Hormone tests, insulin, his semen analysis) and everything is normal. I' ve read about post coital test but all doctors are ruling it out. Has anyone done that, got treated and became successful?? Anita replied. I have had 2 post coital tests done, both failed. What this test is finding out if sperm survives in your mucus. So the test is done either 12 or 14th day and after you have had intercourse. The doc will take out some mucus from you and look at it under a microscope. They should see sperm moving. This will show if you have any antibody issues or some hostile mucus problem. There is really no treatment for this. So they do IUI in order to bypass the passage completely. I have heard that this test is really becoming very uncommon so it is not really a surprise that folks in Chennai are not doing it.
