1.can i give fruits/fruit juices around 7pm.
Re : avoid it after 7pm,,give like 6pm and dont offr more thn 4-5oz...make sure the dinner time is atleast 3hours aftr juice so that your child eats well.
2.is it ok to give cheese at night.
Re : once a while all okay..dont make it everyday.
3.what is cracked wheat & can i add this to his soup or kichdi.
Re : crackd wheat is daliya or broken wheat and is also called in some terms as bulgar wheat,,dpending on place where you live. yes you can actually make it dalia khichadi..there are variety of crackd wheat, mostly small, medium and large...try to get small for the kids so that they cook well when thrown in pressure cooker, while if you get the larger one, pulse it to small in mixie in order to give that consistency n so it cooks well.
you wil get lots of recipes in google and on this board. i gave my kids with dalia 1 : moong dal 1 : rice :2 ( i put rice because nirja was a little constipatn after a couple servings so this helped ! ),,put the cooker, put oil,crushd jeera,musturd(above 8mnths),hing,curryleaves,some vegies mostly palak/baby spinach leaves, carrots,corndr leaves,beans,babycorn pieces a couple, and brocolli(above 7mnths),,cauliflower(above 7mnths),,then let it saute,,,once done, add salt, some cumin-corndr pwder, some turmeric, spinkle of dry italian seasoning(i always put in most of baby food as it helped my kids remain gas free ! )and thn cook it for 4-5 whistle..blend or mash if needed...and its done. offer this with either soup, curd mixed with water(1:1) for my kids as they used to like it that way ! , or with toor dal soup/lenthil soup or just ordinary home made dal..could be ne dal, jut make sure to make it very much like water and season it well with hing,curry leaves and mild spice if your baby likes,,nirja my daughtr always liked homemade sambhar pwder so she used to njoy it that way...start family foods after 8mnths,,,and this is how i gave...ask for other recipes too,,,you never know which one your child likes !
4.abt ginger & garlic will it increase the body heat if taken daily for kids.
Re : you are not going to give in plenty, plus you are always offering curd,ghee, cheese and milk in various forms with almost every meal, i think,,which will balance it. you are also offering banana and those cold foods that help in balancng body heat dpnding on body type..yes, ginger garlic or ne spice will always add to body heat if taken in plenty but without dairy or lets say less servings of milk products...if you are offering say ginger vegie thai soup in one meal, make sure to offer a bowl of curd in the next meal so that it balance it well ! avoid offering ginger/garlic or chilli like foods in evening meals so that your child dont get restless sleep. give them during day time so that they get whole day to drink water,juices and dairies to flush all heat out before going to bed.
5.He has some mucus formed wat home remedy can be done to reduce this.will any fruits or veggies increase mucus.

ne fruit or vegie will increase mucus dpends on the body type,,you are givng ne food in plenty so dont take that idea in your mind..balance your child meals nicely and your child will get good food even in colds...just make sure not to give one food in plenty,,that should do it !
