Top 10 Bollywood Movies Every Father Must Watch

Just like mothers, fathers also have a special bonding with their children. Bollywood movies are a craze among Indians. We have all grown up watching Bollywood movies. Needless to say, most Indians are extremely fond of Hindi movies; their plots, trailers and songs. Fathers can find many movies to connect with their children.


Piku

Piku is the story of a cute, lovable but clingy old man. His daughter tries her best to help him but he does not like to listen to her. He is adamant and clingy. Despite everything, his daughter wants to help him. It is a practical movie which depicts the modern nature of father-daughter relationship.


Baghban

Baghban is a moving story which really touches the heart. It shows the heart-warming relationship between the adopted son and father. The adopted son goes out of the way to help his father which shows his respect and affection for the old man.


Kapoor and Sons

This is a story of a father-son relationship involving some drama. The son is shocked on realizing that his father is involved with another woman. He comes to know of the affair and angrily confronts his father. However, he eventually comes to terms with it and continues with his responsibilities. It is a mature take on father-son equation.


Wake Up Sid

Wake Up Sid is the story of a successful businessman who is not able to accept the fact that his son is unlike him. He feels that his son is a lazy, good for nothing fellow. However, the candid conversation between son and father will leave you teary-eyed. His father learns about his son’s photography interests and ends up embracing him. 


Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

It is a beautiful movie expressing father-daughter affection. Shah Rukh Khan is a single father who goes to any extent to take care of his little daughter. He is concerned even about the tiniest problems in her life and takes care of her in a very adorable manner.


Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham

This is the story of an elder son who leaves home however he still has his values intact. The mutual respect between father and son remains even though outwardly the father looks like he does not care. The younger son plays an important role in bringing the father and estranged son close again.


Taare Zameen Par

This is a story which every parent must watch if they have not already watched. The father is angry with the son because he is unable to perform well in school and other activities. He always shouts at his son. However, he becomes emotional when he learns that his son actually has a learning disability.


Aa Ab Laut Chalein

Aa ab Laut Chalein is a movie starring Akshaye Khanna and Rajesh Khanna. The father leaves home to marry an American woman leaving mother and son alone. The son goes abroad and accidentally comes into contact with the father. The father becomes very emotional and realizes his mistake. The son also forgives him. It is a lovely movie depicting Indian culture and values.


Apne

Dharmendra is an ex boxer who is wrongly accused of doping charges. He wants to avenge the insult by training his son to win the Championship. He wants the son to achieve what he could not do. Initially, the son quits due to lack of facilities. However, he wins back the father’s confidence by trying again and winning the Championship.


Yeh Hai Jalwa

This is an emotional story where the father has a son born outside marriage. The movie shows the son trying to do his best in order to make the father accept him. He loves his father and newly found family. In the end, the father also accepts him which makes it a great and proud moment!

One of the movie that is must watch for all fathers is Rahul. It shows how children suffer because of misunderstanding between parents. In fact mothers too should watch this movie.
