You may also feel emotionally heavy with that physical weight you are carrying. Your baby is fully grown in your womb and now preparing to be in your hands. So it also brings multiple emotional baggages on your head. You may be worried about various complications occurring during childbirth which you might have heard from your friends or family.

It usually disappears on its own after child birth. But it often brings delivery complications during 9th month of pregnancy. Your baby may grow overweight because of diabetes and that could lead to c-section instead of normal delivery.

Vaginal Bleeding

Usually you may find blood show in first month of pregnancy. But in worst case you can have vaginal bleeding even in 9th month of your pregnancy which is due to abruption of placental. In this case you must immediately report to your doctor.

Water Break

Rupturing of membranes or water break is common in 9th month of pregnancy. But if it happens too early, it could bring complications to baby’s health. Mother should be treated on emergency basis in such cases.

Hypertension

Hypertension or high blood pressure during 9th month of pregnancy can lead to preeclampsia disorder. It can bring huge complications to both mother and baby during 9th month of pregnancy. While kidney failure is common, sometimes it also becomes difficult for a doctor to save both mother and baby because of this disorder. So blood pressure monitoring should be done thoroughly during the entire pregnancy period and precaution must be taken to avoid this situation.

Thyroid

Like diabetes, another temporary disease that can happen to women because of pregnancy is thyroid. If it is detected during your pregnancy, treatment for it can help to avoid complications during childbirth.

Obesity

Overweight is another issue during pregnancy. Women who weight much more cannot deliver babies normally. In most of the cases babies are born with c-section with obese mothers.

Breech or Transverse Pregnancy Position

Usually, baby settles with head down position in mother’s womb in 9th month of pregnancy. With that position of baby, delivery becomes easy for mother and for doctor. In very rare cases, baby may be in breech position with head up and legs down. Or in transverse position i.e. sideways in womb. Both positions bring complications during 9th month of pregnancy leading to emergency c-section in most of the cases.
Usually, you naturally come to labour around your due date given by doctor. But in some cases, mothers do not feel labour pain or any signs of labour even after weeks past due date. In such cases pregnant mothers should immediately report to the doctor to ensure the safety of baby.
Due to decrease in amniotic fluid after 40 weeks term of pregnancy, baby may not get enough oxygen supply. So post delivery, baby may be at major risk. Therefore, if it necessary to be extremely careful during the ninth month of pregnancy. Check-ups should be done from time-to-time and scheduled doctor visits should not be missed. If any discomfort is observed it should be reported to the doctor immediately.
