 hi nirupa, i can understand your problem see if he cries even after crying that be be becoz he asking you to help him pass wind. some babies pass wind immediately and some take more time to pass so better hold him upright for some time also he may be crying for stomach ache consult your doctor and take appropriate medicine

 for 5 mnths baby start with apple, pears etc juices. in the next month start with rice and dal water. you can wash and make its powder too. in last 6 mnth start mashed n consistent food (very small, what you are eating may be in very small amount)
