 there is a maternity store called 'cherish the mother store' in bangalore which sells really good maternity clothes. mainly very soft cotton tops, good sized panties and exercise pants. they are priced very reasonably and the fit is really good. i bought quite a few of their dresses there. the lady there is also extremely helpful and i had a great time talking to her about my pregnancy. their address is #915 4th cross 9th main mico layout , btm 2nd stage, bangalore - 560076. i believe they are open 10-6:30 m-sat hope this helps....

 hey everybody, i stay in delhi and couldn't find a good store for maternity wear to wear to the office. i had a tough time searching for stores adn then stores that stock clothes that fit you. first i found 'motherware' at khan market from where i bought a pair of jeans. but the lady there sold me a larger size than my frame. i m slim and tall, so if you go for length, waist won't fit. even on getting the jeans altered, she din't quite alter the waist to my size, keeping it too large to fit and slipping down every 10 mins. then i found 'curves' in m-block market, bang opposite the mc donald's outlet, in the main square on the 2nd floor. there they showed me jeans and trousers according to my pre-pregnancy size, which fits me nicely and i feel confident on wearing it. i am still searching for new stores coz the prices here are a bit steep (starting from 1.5k) keeping in mind that u won't wear these jeans once you get back into shape adn start fitting into ur levi's, wrangler's etc. i'll go this weekend and check if they can alter an old trouser for me, which i can use these winters. if they do, it'll be really cool and they'd hav won a customer for their promotion ;)

 hey ladies, after a long & frustrating search for decent materinity wear i've concluded that unfortumately in india, most of the maternity wear (read frumpy kaftans) is horribly unattractive, shapeless & designed to make u look like a blown-up tent. already one has to cope with a body that looks increasingly heavier. at a time like this u want to be nattily dressed so that u feel good inside about urself & ur changing body. who wants to look in the mirror & take a self esteem bashing??? still, for those of u based in ncr, all hope is not lost. there are some stores here which carry stuff other than dumpy nightgowns & kaftans. here is a list of stores to check out & the worthwhile things to pick up there. warning - anything which is remotely stylish or in good taste is also quite expensive.. there is hardly anything in the mid range. 1. momease (vasant vihar mkt)- some of the stuff here is nice & trendy - wide range of clothes like dresses, formal tops, pants / capris , dungarees, feeding tops etc.. but availability of sizes is a huge issue. also, not exactly inexpensive. 3. westside outlets (karol bagh, lajpat, gurgaon, vaishali) - mom soon range. mostly formal trousers. nothing comfy for home wear. can check out for wearing to work. 4. mothercare outlets (saket, noida, rajouri) - again a nice wide range of terndy & comfortable maternity wear but the prices are whopper.. if u are already reeling from the shock of buying expensive baby stuff, u might not survive this shock.. 4. fab india outlets (gk / vasant kunj / gurgaon) - they have comfy materinity pyjamas which can be worn at home. however, u will probabely have to alter / reduce the width of the legs to attain a decent shape. other than these u can also check out stores meant for plus sized women like revolution (gk, shahpur jat, gurgaon) or the gia range at westside. while the clothes are not meant for maternity, once can still pick up trendy clothes in large sizes.. good luck shopping!

 cherish is another store you can try in bangalore. they have feeding dresses and comfortable kurtis and kneelengths in cotton and also knit pants which are very comfortable. reasonably priced so you dont have to feel so bad about spending so much for such a short period of time.

 hi folks...my wife just delivered her baby. i had bought a few clothes (knit pants,tops, feeding gowns and new-born baby suits) from cherish. she loves the clothes so much that i just stopped by yesterday to buy few more feeding gowns and dresses. they also have really soft receiving blankets (which i also bought). even better.. this store is now open until 8pm and they also have home delivery!
